Library CardsGeneralPatrons must have a valid library card in order to borrow items from the library and access online resources. For residents of Shelburne, Amaranth, Melancthon, Mono and Mulmur there is no charge to obtain a card. Non-residents should contact the Library for current non-resident fees. To obtain a library card, you will require valid documentation stating your name and current address (e.g. Driver's License, utility bill, etc.). Children under the age of 16 may have their own card, but a parent or guardian must sign to accept responsibility on the child's behalf. Library cards are non-transferable and the use of the card is the responsibility of the person to whom the card is issued. Library cards are renewed annually in-person, by phone, or email, with confirmation of current contact information.
